D1 Tigers Top Atlantic Hockey
I never really liked hockey until I went to my first RIT Tigers men’s hockey game. The Ritter Ice Arena seats 2100 max, and it was amazing to see the Corner Crew in action and be so close to the ice.
Now, the Tigers are in their second year of D1 hockey in the Atlantic Hockey Conference. As I write this, they just completed a weekend sweep of Air Force, and are sitting comfortably at the top of the standings with an 18-5-1 record in conference play.
Unfortunately, the Tigers will not be eligible for NCAA play no matter what they do (at least I get to root for my current school–Bentley). Check out this interesting article over at College Hockey News about their success this year.
