Are You Paying Too Much Rent?
Tonight I watched the commandN video podcast (episode 72), and Amber recommended a very cool site called Rentometer. The site will tell you if you are paying too much rent or not after you enter your address and some apartment details.
It does not seem that this tool is incredibly accurate (unless there are 2BR apartments in Newton, Mass. for $200), but it does provide a good overall picture. The site uses the Google Maps API to show your neighborhood, so you can click on individual markers to see how much the rent people are paying at a particular address. Check it out!
