Wii Fanboy Denied with McDonald’s Best Buy Bucks

At the Kingston (MA) Best Buy, a Nintendo fanboy tried to purchase a Wii with McDonald’s Best Buy Bucks. He was told a day earlier that he could use them to pay, but when he got to the register he was denied. He was cursing loudly on his way out of the store, since he had no other way to pay. He had camped out all night in front of the store to get his Wii ticket.

Note: There is a $200 purchasing limit with Best Buy Bucks, so I am pretty sure this guy had some cash with him to pay the difference.

Thanks to my brother who told me this story after successfully purchasing a Wii at that store. And congratulations to everyone else who was able to score one this morning/last night. My condolences to those that have to wait.
