Cape League ‘07: Seven Months Away!
It’s official: the first pitch of the Cape Cod Baseball League 2007 season will be Friday, June 15, 2007 (if it doesn’t rain). The All-Star Game is slated for Saturday, July 28th (rain date July 29th) at a TBA location. The end of the season is on August 8th (2 days later than last year), with playoffs commencing on the 10th. NCAA mandates that summer leagues must finish by the 15th (as identified in Beach Chairs and Baseball Bats). Therefore, the league appears to be counting on no playoff day rainouts with two sets of best-of-3 series’ (hopefully I didn’t jinx it).
