Section508.gov has an Accessibility Problem

Recently, I have become interested in the idea of providing text size control on websites for seniors or people with disabilities. Today, I found myself looking at the text size control on Section508.gov, the virtual home of accessibility.

The text size control on Section508.gov does not work on any browser I tested including Internet Explorer 6 for PC, Firefox 1.5.0.7 on Mac or PC, Opera 9.02 on Mac, and Safari on Mac! After changing the font and/or size and hitting the “Enter” button, the News section (aka content pool) of the site disappears. Other pages of the site appear to work fine.

Very ironic that the virtual home of accessibility has a problem of its own.
