The End of the RAZR Craze?
I don’t often get too excited about cellphones–mostly because there is always something I do not like about the ones that Verizon carries. In New England, you really only have to choose from Verizon and T-Mobile. And since most people have Verizon, and you can talk to other Verizon users for free, the choice is easy unless you do a lot of traveling overseas (in which case you need a GSM phone) or want to be cool and own a Sidekick.
In March, I finally upgraded to the Motorola E815. I almost got a RAZR, but I did not like the fact it was so wide.
At Bentley College (where I go to grad school), it seems that everyone has a RAZR; everyone is holding this wide thing to their ear. And, if they’re a girl, it’s usually a pink wide thing.
Verizon has now made available to the Motorola K1m MOTOKRZR (pictured right). It looks great and I can’t find anything wrong with it for my needs. It has Bluetooth, a 1.3mp camera, H.264 and MPEG4 video support, AAC/+ and MP3 support, a microSD slot (for up to 1GB of extra storage), internal antennae, and is almost as thin as the RAZR. But, most importantly for me, it’s not as wide.
