Valid XHTML for YouTube Videos

My blog is valid XHTML, but ever since I started posting YouTube videos it was not validating. Today I discovered some solutions.

For Wordpress users, “Viper007″ created a plugin called Vipers-Video-Quicktags. This plugin allows you to post the valid code from various video sites just buy knowing the video’s ID.

For Wordpress.com users, there is a simple tag you can use:
YouTube Preview Image

For all blog and website owners, you can use the code on this page. Just subsitute in the YouTube video ID that you want to use.

In terms of accessibility, the code will fail to meet the W3C WCAG guidelines because “Viper 007″s code does not Provide alternative content for each OBJECT.
