Star Wars Movie Ranking

With Episode III released in theaters this weekend, the Star Wars movie series is complete. How did the new episodes compare to the old? Let’s rank them:

1. Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
   Empire is by far the best Star Wars movie. From Hoth to Cloudy City, this movie has everything.
2. Episode IV: A New Hope
   The first Star Wars movie ranks second in my book. It ropes viewers in and introduces us to all the main characters.
3. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
   Most of the holes are patched up in this movie pretty well. But, despite being over 2 hours long, some things seem rushed.
4. Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
   While introducing the planet of Endor and ewoks, this movie leans towards pleasing younger generations and being a feel-good film.
5. Episode II: Attack of the Clones
   If I actually didn’t like ewoks, I would probably rank this over Jedi… ewoks are funnier than clones. Yoda is first seen utilizing his lightsaber skills in a very exciting battle.
6. Episode I: The Phantom Menace
   There isn’t much to be said about this movie… too much time with little orphan Annie.
