The Mystery of BK

Finally. BK is gone. No, I’m not talking about the fast food chain. I’m talking about the guy who was supposed to be a Yankee-killing closer. I’m talking about the guy who was supposed to be our fifth starter last season. I’m talking about the guy who was supposed to be better as a middle-reliever. Nobody ever really liked BK. We tried too, but then he gave us the finger.

Theo has admitted that BK was a mistake. But, don’t worry, Theo. After all, this is the trade that gave Billy Mueller his chance at 3rd base and hence a batting title. The trade also made Shea Hillenbrand player shirts affordable for everyone and ruined his career. But, at least we get to see him more often this season in Toronto.

In exchange for Kim, the Sox got catcher Charles “the most overpaid player in MLB” Johnson who will slowly find his way to Tampa Bay and AAA sensation Chris Narveson, who will play with the stars in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

So, he’s gone. The one curse left with the Red Sox is gone. The best thing is that we can say that Mike Myers killed BK. Thank you, Mike Myers. And thank you for spying on the Cardinals this spring before we re-acquired you. And thank you in advance for playing with a Cardinals mugshot all season long.
